This isn’t a generic slide deck. Private training, at your site, on your equipment, scoped to the consoles, switches and standards you actually run. Closed groups of up to 10. On-site across Europe from Barcelona, or remote. In Spain, deliverable as FUNDAE-funded training in partnership with a registered training entity — terms for funded actions are agreed separately.

N1 · AV Networking Essentials
8 h (1 day) · from €1,200 · up to 10 people
For AV technicians with no networking background.
- Switches, ports, cabling, SFP and fibre: what each part actually does
- IP addressing: masks, subnets, gateways, DHCP versus static
- Reserved ranges, 169.254, and why NAT breaks device discovery
- Physical port versus logical port (TCP/UDP)
- Unicast, broadcast and multicast, demonstrated live on a real switch
- ARP, DHCP, DNS, mDNS, NTP/PTP, SNMP: the ones that actually turn up
- Diagnosis: ping, arp, ipconfig, a first look at Wireshark
- Hands-on: build a working two-switch AV network from nothing
Outcome: the team understands what it is looking at, and knows where to start when something fails.
N2 · Advanced AV Networking
16 h (2 days) · from €2,200 · up to 10 people
Senior technicians, systems engineering and broadcast operations. N1 or equivalent required.
- VLANs: tagging, trunks, native VLAN, and the misconfigurations that kill audio
- Multicast properly: IGMP snooping, querier, querier election, fast leave
- PTP / IEEE 1588: AES67 profiles, grandmaster election, boundary and transparent clocks
- QoS: DSCP, why AES67 and Dante need EF/CS, trust boundaries
- STP / RSTP: convergence time versus audio dropout, root bridge placement
- Multiple switches: uplinks, fibre, aggregation, redundancy — and when it hurts
- Hands-on: build the network, break it, and diagnose eight documented faults
Outcome: the team configures and diagnoses a multi-switch AV network without outside help.
N3 · Dante in Practice
8 h (1 day) · from €1,400 · up to 10 people
Deploying and troubleshooting Dante networks. N1 or equivalent required.
- Architecture: Controller, discovery, unicast and multicast flows
- Clocking: PTP in Dante, master election, Dante Domain Manager
- Latency: device, network, and how to spend the budget
- Primary/secondary redundancy, and Dante on shared networks
- AES67 interoperability and its real limits
- The ten real failures: duplicate names, sample-rate mismatch, unicast flow limits, switch EEE, IGMP on a shared LAN, low latency settings, badly separated VLANs
- Hands-on: break and repair a Dante network
Outcome: the team deploys and fixes Dante without calling the manufacturer.
Independent course, taught by a Dante Level 3 holder. Not an official Audinate certification.
N1 + N2 bundle · 24 h (3 days) · from €3,000
The full programme — from nothing to diagnosing a multi-switch network. This is the usual shape for a funded training action: more hours, one piece of paperwork, and the whole team at the same level.
